Beach Information
There are small public sound beaches at each end of the island. The West end beach is about 1/2 mile from Harkers Village. The East end beach is about 4 miles from Harkers Village. Public access to ocean beaches is also available at Atlantic Beach (~30 minute drive) and Fort Macon (~40 min drive). There is also ferry service available to Cape Lookout National Seashore (pristine natural beaches).
